Letter from Rowdy

Let me fill you guys in on what has been going on with me personally, and why my behavior may have been a bit different as of late…  In early June, my wife Kim was diagnosed with breast cancer.  After weeks of tests, it was determined that (at 37 years of age) a double mastectomy was required to eradicate this problem <hopefully> forever-and get her back to 100%.  On Thursday (8/8/2013), she had that radical procedure, and made it through with flying colors.

Understand that we are both *public* people, but we do try to maintain a bit of privacy in our lives.  But, knowing that many of you “KNEW” something was up,  we felt we needed to clue you in as to what was happening.  Thankfully, she is back at home, resting comfortably, well medicated, and fiercely protected by our instinctive Labrador’s Jake and Buddy.

We have an AWESOME support staff of family and friends that will be here for at least the next six weeks helping us out-and barring any bad reports from the St. Francis Hospital Pathology Department, this will be a challenging  “life hurdle”  and nothing more.  With that being said, if you are a woman, it is time to get yourself checked.  If you are MAN who KNOWS a woman, and loves that woman-make sure she has a Mammogram-as recommended, by her Doctor.

More later,
