Rowdy gets a little "spacey"~~~~~
How cool is this? The Voyager 1 probe has become the first man-made object to enter interstellar space, NASA announced today.
Scientists report they have strong evidence that the unmanned spacecraft has crossed the magnetic boundary separating our solar system's sun, planets and solar wind from the rest of the galaxy.
The announcement comes more than 36 years after the unmanned spacecraft lifted off on a journey that gave humans close-up views of Jupiter and Saturn before heading toward deep space.
It is my deepest and truest hope that there are signs of intelligent life. Beings that can peacefully coexist, share and make the universe a better, healthier, happier place.
If we strike out there, perhaps O.J. Simpson will find the real killers, or Jimmy Hoffa might turn up. Who the hell knows? I will also toss out that 36 years is a long time to travel anywhere. You do not have to be a man, or even human to be stubborn enough to stop and ask for directions.
