Police responded to a report of a shooting Wednesday morning, but it turned out the victim had not been shot.

The incident happened in a garage behind a home in the 1300 block of North Yale. 

Police say the man had a head injury, but it was not a gunshot and that he had hurt himself. They say EMSA took the man to a hospital to be checked out.
