Carrie Underwood will debut new music right here on KVOO tomorrow (Wednesday) at 6am. She announced today in a letter to her fans here that the new song is called Cry Pretty. Carrie co-wrote the song herself along with a group of Nashville writers that call themselves the Love Junkies. Carrie says the song is about when emotions really take over and you just can't hold them back, and covers much that has happened to her in the past year. In case you haven't heard, she will be preforming it at the ACM awards on Sunday night on CBS. Carrie has spent the last few months in the studio writing and recording new music with a new writer and producer named David Garcia. Carrie will be co producing the upcoming album, a first for her! She's super proud of what she's done, and was thrilled with the whole process.
In other Carrie news she also shared that her wrist is at about 90 percent healed and her face is healing nicely as well. Carrie says she has enjoyed what she calls a period of forced relation due to her injuries sustained in her November fall. It has allowed her to spend more time with her husband Mike and her son Isaiah.
Carrie says she will be sharing more soon on a tour that is in the planning stage, and more details on the new album.
